About the author

KJ Baker was born in London to an English mother and an American father. She grew up a stone's throw from Hampstead Heath which remains one of her favourite places in the world. During her twenties she spent several years living in San Francisco where she developed an abiding love of bagels before returning to her beloved London. She lives in south London with her husband and a very grumpy bulldog.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2021This is the third book in the series and they must be read in order. Asha and Raven are in the Summerlands. Everyone has been hit by a blow learning that one of their own betrayed them. Now they face a war that may spread to the mortal world. Asha is in more danger than anyone realizes. She is kidnapped and they must figure out where she is taken and what they want from her. Asha is going to be tested in ways she never thought she would be. She will question everything she knows and thinks. One thing keeps going round her mind. Nothing is as it seems. But does that mean what is happening or what Raven has told her. He is her true mate. That is confirmed over and over. But she doesn’t really know that much about him really. Some want the bond Raven and Asha share. It is more powerful than anything else they have come across. Will they be able to get their bond? I am loving this series more and more with each book. They are action packed and steamy. Raven and Asha have been through so much and they can’t seem to catch a break. Raven’s brother and sister are also wonderful characters. They are there for them and help Asha adjust to her new home. His brother more than his sister. The whole of the Fae is suspicious of Asha. She is a human and they don’t see how she could be Raven’s true mate. Asha is proving to be so much more than they expected. I hope there will be more books in this series. Great job KJ Baker.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2021OH MY STARS! There is so much to take in with this story! Asha is such a fighter but even the little birds in her ear can make her falter. Raven will do anything to have his mate back. As secrets are exposed, war is waged and lives lost, these two still battle so much to be together. It is passionate and heartbreaking at the same time. The whole culmination of this ending is beyond insane. I almost bawled near the end. Asha would give up so much for Raven and he would do the same for her. It was a beautiful ending and I wanted so much more. The whole series is an amazing one that is unique and one of a kind. The author has a fan in me now!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2021Raven the King of Fae of Shadow Court and his human mate Asha are back and it’s time fir her coronation. The Courts are at unrest and war is imminent and Taviel and Felena, Raven’s betrothed fae, are leading the opposing fae that want to corrupt the veil and humans. As the war, Felena, Taviel, and the corrupted fae constantly barraged Raven and Asha to tear them apart, both Seelie and Unseelie fae were lost in the callous war for the ultimate prize. This part of Raven and Asha’s fun and exciting journey is filled with more danger, deception, magic, lies, betrayals, and a love that goes beyond the Twightland. Good continuation in this series

- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2021Well, as in the first two books of this series, there is a LOT to wade through to finally get to Asha and Raven. I knew it would be complicated, but sheesh!
What started out at as sweet for Raven and Asha, quickly turned into a giant mess of Fae, mortals, Spires and all kinds of other stuff. I will have to admit, I loved Raven's brother and sister, especially when the three of them bickered like siblings, but were in the middle of a war. To funny.
The book is well written and action packed. There still isn't much Asha and Raven action, however the build up to the end was entertaining and the series is wrapped up nicely.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2021War of the Fae is the third book in the Shadow Court series and wow what a spectacular ending!
The Shadow Court series must be read in order so go grab the first two books before diving into this incredible book.
War of the Fae sees Arion (aka Raven) preparing for war with the Unseelie Fae. It also sees Arion and Asha’s faith for one another get tested in more ways than I could imagine.
The imagery in this series was amazing from start to finish. You feel that you’re in the Summerlands with Arion, Asha, Ffion and Hawk.
The trials and tribulations that happen for the characters throughout this book see their characters grow exponentially.
I have loved reading this book and this series and can’t wait to read what the author has in store next!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent series!
Tense and action-packed conclusion to this series. From the beginning, Asha has questions and her doubts nearly ruin everything. I enjoyed both the action and the introspection in this tale and the exploration of how deep a mate's bond can be, was fascinating. An excellent ending to this intense paranormal trilogy!
